Gaushalas or Goshalas are protective shelters for cows in India. Goshalas focus on treating cows well, because of their religious significance in Hinduism and consequent cultural sensitivity towards their welfare.
Increasing human population left not much of grass land for cows to survive.The alarming points about condition of Indian cows:-
- Cows wander around in the populated cities, on the streets in search of shade and food.
- Cows eat garbage which is likely to affect the health and original quality of milk of a desi cow.
- There are increasing incidents of death of cows eating garbage, polythene and such other products in the garbage.
- Cows get slaughtered ruthlessly after their milking age.

From getting worshipped for nurturing us and our land in many ways to getting sold for getting slaughtered and eating its meat, by the citizens of same country – Where is the humanism? We grow up having its milk and then eat it when we are grown. Which religion support this sin?

Cow after its milking age is a burden on the cow keeper. This is a myth spread out just to encourage cow slaughter for selling and earning money through serving beef. Cow based products are highly beneficial for agriculture which are used as manure, natural pesticides and much more, throughout the cow’s life.About Us
The desert region of Rajasthan is a harsh environment to live in and the current drought is particularly hard on cattle which have been set free by villagers who can no longer afford to feed them.
In India, cow is not treated as a commodity which is used until it is monetarily beneficial and then sold out in the form of piece of meat on people’s plate for further money. Cows hold a highly reputed position in Indian history. The Hindu mythology has given a specific holy place for Cows as per Vedas, Bhagavad Gita and other Purans (holy books). That is why Indian (desi) cow is also known as Vedic cow. A desi cow is not like the ones traded in abroad or by foreign countries, namely jersey cow, whose milk is not as healthy as that of an Indigenous/Vedic cow.

अरावली की सुरम्य पहाड़ियों के मध्य श्री रणछोड़राय भगवान खेड़,रानी रुपादे मल्लिनाथ भगवान तिलवाड़ा,रानी भट्याणी माता जसोल , भैरव नाथ नाकोड़ा व देवी माँ सांभरा आशापुरा की गोद में एक बीज से पलकर बड़ा हुआ आज यह वट वृक्ष की तरह आज विशालकाय बड़ा रूप लिए आज यह उद्योयोगिक नगरी बालोतरा के मध्य व दूसरी शाखा इसी बालोतरा से १२ किमी दूर कलावा गांव के पास बोरावास की ओरण में स्थित है |
भामाशाहो के शहयोग से चल रही यह गौशाला आज गौ चिकित्सालय के रूप में भी कार्य कर रही है | साथ ही यहां अंधी, विकलांग व निराश्रित गायों की सेवा की जाती है | दुर्घटनाग्रस्त गौ माता को लाने हेतु एम्बुलेंसों की सुविधा १०० किमी के दायरे उपलब्ध है | आधुनिकी तकनिकी सुविधा युक्त यह गौशाला आप सभी लोगो की सहायता से तीव्र गति से प्रगति की और अग्रसर हो रहा है |
गौशाला की स्थापना ३० जनवरी २०१० को साधू संतो के कर कमलो द्वारा की गयी | जिनमे प्रमुख साधू संत श्री श्री १००८ ऊँकार भारती जी महाराज मठाधीश परेऊ स्वामी प्रतापपुरी जी महाराज तारातरा मठ , संत श्री निरंजन भारती जी महाराज गंगागिरी मठ व अन्य कई साधु संतो की उपस्थिति में यह कार्य सम्पन हुआ |
सेवा का कार्य चल ही रहा था तब दानदाताओ ने सेवा से मोहित होकर बीमार गौमाता हेतु एम्बुलेंस सुविधा हेतु राशि एकत्रित कर गौशाला को सुविधा रूप मे एम्बुलेंस प्रदान की।
एम्बुलेंस का उदघाट्न स्व श्री श्री १००८ संत शिरोमणी बाड़मेर की धरती के महादेव स्व. मोहनपुरी जी महाराज ने अपने कर कमलों से कर गौशाला परिवार को अपनी वाणी से उत्साहित कर आगे बढ़ने की प्रेरणा दी | इसी कड़ी मेहनत के चलते दानदाताओं मे द्वितीय वर्ष यानि एक वर्ष बाद ही दुसरी एम्बुलेंस भी दे दी गयी सेवा का दायरा १०० किमी व २०० किमी वृत मे रखा गया। आज यह कलावा गाँव की शोभा बनकर रह गया है पर्यटक स्थल की तरह यहाँ पर भी लोग बहुत दूर से आ रहे है।
गौशाला के उद्देश्य
गौ माता को राष्ट्र माता बनाने हेतु सफल मेहनत कर गौ माता को उस मुकाम पर पहुँचाना जहाँ पर लोगो का गौ माता के प्रति सेवा के साथ स्वार्थ की भावना हो ताकि गौ माता स्वयं ही पूर्व में सोने की चिड़िया कहलाने वाले भारत की माता बन जाएगी
